What a beautiful day. Lapping 7th Heaven chair on Blackcomb mountain was awesome. The morning was quite cold again, however Whistler is having another temperature inversion, where its colder in the valley than at the top of the mountain. So while the village was hovering close to -10, the alpine conditions were very comfortable at -6 or so, rising to ( it felt like ) -2. The sun was out again, and I was , between the sun and the exercise, actually too warm if anything. No complaints though, the mountain was empty and the runs had been groomed well. Even off-piste became quite nice by around midday, still a little solid, but soft enough to make it worthwhile venturing into it.
Snow Report:
Still no new snow, but as mentioned, its coming ( Saturday is latest forecast ). Snow base is 223 cm / 88 in. The next few days should be sunny and the snow conditions should remain the same.
