Another gorgeous day, not a cloud in the sky, and temperatures up in the positive territory. Lovely weather for skiing, great visibility and snow softened by the sun makes for easy turning. The only problem is that is still winter, and we don’t want warm temperatures. Overnight the snow re-freezes, and this can result in some pretty ugly/bumpy off-piste skiing. Overall, its great fun, but not the best for the powder loving hounds.
The forecast for Whistler is for increasing cloud cover, with a slight possibility of snowfall around Thursday. The freezing level is staying high, with it dropping to the 1000m mark at best. The hot temperatures are here to stay during the next few days, luckily there is no precipitation along with them, by the time it comes around Thursday, it should be cold enough for decent snow in the alpine, however 90% sure it will be rain in the valley.
