Clear, quiet day in Whistler

January 8th, 2008 · No Comments

Once again, the sun came out and made it a beautiful day. A little bit of fresh snow overnight ( 5 cm ), cold temps, and sunshine is a recipe for great skiing. The crowds have basically disappeared, making lift lines virtually non-existent. The mountains are in awesome shape, and with more snow in the forecast, and not many people expected for the next few weeks, it’s a good time to be in Whistler.

Whistler Blackcomb snow base is 232 cm. 5 - 10 cm forecast for tonight and more flurries during tomorrow.  Light winds and cold temperatures before the next system comes in Thursday with another 20+ cm forecast.
