Today started out with a snow report of 7cm of new snow, in actual fact, it was more like 10 -15cm on most of the mountain. Visibility was horrific for the first few hours, and it seemed like most people finished their days by 10am. Very bad mistake….. Eventually the sun started poking through the cloud cover, it did come and go, but mostly the visibility was awesome. The mountain was quiet, and all of a sudden we could see all the untracked powder. It was everywhere, and at least 10cm deep everywhere I went. I ended up skiing fresh tracks all day long, my legs were like jelly by the time I finally skied back to the car. Amazing day, not much more that I can say.
The snow forecast has been downgraded, to minor flurries every day, with the exception of Friday, when up to 10cm is expected. It’s all good, as the snow quality at the moment is fantastic, new snow makes it better, but what we have is great fun and I am looking forward to shredding the mountains for the next week or so.
