End of the sunshine

January 25th, 2008 · No Comments

Whistler had another bluebird day, once again, the weather was beautiful. Apparently the snow conditions were the same as all week, basically great groomed runs, with off piste a little so so. I personally didn’t go skiing on the mountains today, instead I went cross country skiing in the Callaghan valley. Site of the 2010 Winter Olympics cross country and Ski Jumping events. I took some photos and have uploaded two, Whistler Olympic Ski Jump and the Biathlon Shooting Range.

Snow Report:

Snow ! Thats what the forecast says. Approximately 20 - 30 cm is expected to fall within the next few days, so more good times ahead. Looking forward to some powder in Spankys ladder on Blackcomb mountain.

Whistler Blackcomb snow base is 218 cm.

Don’t forget tomorrow is Australia Day ! So get out there and buy an Aussie a beer :)
