Whistler still has great snow conditions. The temperatures have dropped considerably, the village is down to around -10 and the alpine is close to -16. Really cold, which makes for great snow, so long as you can handle the frozen toes / fingers / nose etc. Your best bet is to rug up warm and get inside every two runs or so. The groomed runs were amazing, with Dave Murray ( Mens downhill for the Olympics ) and Franzs ( Womens ) my favorite runs of the day. The grooming department is really paying special attention to these runs at the moment, partly due to some races being held there soon, and partly as practice for the Olympics. Anyway you look at it, now is a great time to ski these runs.
The temperatures will probably stay cold for another day or two, at which time a inversion will most probably eventuate. All this cold air in the valley wont disappear quickly. So be prepared to wear warm clothing while in and around Whistler for the next time being.
