Today was surprising good snow conditions, I was expecting it to be a bit hard / icy due to the warm weather we have had lately, and then the cold temperatures overnight and during the day. However, the snow was really good, especially the groomed runs, where I spent almost all my day, since I took up my carving skis.
A lot of the Creekside side of Whistler mountain is closed at the moment, in preparation for the FIS World Cup event being held this weekend. Right now the athletes are getting in training runs, and I am looking forward to getting out there later this week and watching some of the worlds best skiers tackle the future Olympic runs of Whistler. If you want to ski to Creekside, you have take the Peak chair up, and ski the ‘Peak to Creek’ trail. No big deal, and in fact it is the best run on that side of Whistler.
It looks like the next week is going to be mostly cloudy, with a few sunny breaks. Little to no snow is expected during this time ![]()
