Another beautiful day on the slopes of Whistler Blackcomb ski resort. Basically a bluebird day, with amazing light snow which is unusual for Whistler in Easter. Normally the snow is heavier, but not this year. Its been a sick season, and continues to be so. Currently the mountains are quite busy, but with the great weather, people spread out more thus reducing the congestion on the runs, and lessens the lift queues.
No new snow overnight, and a total of 36cms in the last week. With the freezing level staying in or near the valley, that 36cm has been fantastic quality. The snow base is reported to be 255cms.
The great news is the forecast, around 10cms expected tonight, with another 10 during tomorrow. The winds accompanying this system are expected to be very high, luckily the highest winds should occur during the night, with strong but lightening winds during the day, so tomorrow could be another awesome powder day. The forecast is also calling for small snowfalls for the following few days, and the long range is looking promising too.
Happy Easter Everyone ! ![]()
