Great Weekend ahead

March 28th, 2008 · No Comments

The snow at Whistler Blackcomb remains in excellent condition. This past week has been some of the best skiing of the season. My legs are so tired from skiing powder from first lift to last. I think I am going to have to take tomorrow off, just to get a rest.  The forecast is calling for temperatures to continue to stay low, which means the snow is going to remain awesome. Not much snow is in the forecast though, but thats okay, there is plenty of fun to be had on the mountains.

Snow base is sitting around 275cm, which is pretty darn good for this time of year. The avalanche advisory is rating moderate now, it has been considerable most of the week, but since the snowfalls have stopped, the snow has had a chance to settle. So if you like to tour, Whistler’s backcountry is in excellent condition.
