Martin Luther King Weekend

January 20th, 2008 · No Comments

More clear skies, and some really cold temperatures ( on Sunday ) for Martin Luther King Weekend in Whistler. Overall, the snow conditions were fantastic. Once again though, it was a very busy weekend, with lift lines getting quite big at times. Especially Emerald chair on Whistler mountain, and Solar Coaster & 7th Heaven on Blackcomb mountain. Sorry about not mentioning the lift lines in yesterday’s post, I can’t believe I didn’t mention how long they were, my bad. Luckily we had awesome weather, allowing every chair to open, and open early which helps spread the people out.

Snow Report:

No new snow reported, and the snow base is 229cm. Apparently we are in for nothing but sunshine for the next few days, however snow is in the forecast for next weekend.
