Another beautiful day with more of the same – Great groomer skiing and fair off-piste conditions. The grooming has really improved since the beginning of the season, perhaps they have a few new guys this year who took a while to ‘learn the ropes’.
No winds today, and perfect temperatures of around -5C. Although it looks like tomorrow might be a little windy again. It also looks like a bit of precipitation next week, lets hope it is snow and not rain
Not much more to say, so I will just add a video (which I took yesterday, but the gist is the same). This is the view of Whistler Village from the Peak 2 Peak gondola.

That video is sweet. I’ve had to get off the mountain because, even though I tried, my knee is still messed up.
I bought a new pair of Atomic carving skis super cheap at the reuseit center and I must admit, they’re totally great on the groomers, but when I run into pow, it’s a nightmare. They’re hard and heavy.
Is the peak chair open?
I didn’t ride the Peak today, but am pretty sure it was open ( I think they opened everything).
Carving skis are a lot of fun in the right circumstances – mine are pretty good off piste as well.
“The grooming has really improved since the beginning of the season”
On Blackcomb, where it was really crap@y earlier on I presume, although with a low snow pack it always seems that Blackcomb has far more rocky terrain and is thus harder to groom.
It has been excellent on Whistler all season
The groomers there deserve a big, big vote of thanks!
