I figured it was time to write a short update to how the snow is going. Unfortunately there isn’t much to report
During the last week, we have received a decent amount of precipitation but the temperatures were too high. This resulted in mainly rain falling (all the way to the peaks). So the vast majority of snow that was up there, has been washed away (except for the glacial areas).
It has been hard to get any decent photos, since there has been a lot of clouds in the valley (whenever I was out with the camera). If you look closely, you can see there is still snow in the alpine, but all the runs below the top of Solar Coaster chairlift are bare.
Not to worry, this is certainly ‘typical’ Whistler weather. Rain in October, Snow in November is a good summary for this time of year. I actually enjoyed a nice mountain bike ride yesterday.
