Great early morning conditions turned into strong snowfall with limited visibility by midday. Flat light was the order of the day from then on. Snow conditions were fantastic, however it was hard to take full advantage of it. Lift lines were small considering it was a Saturday, which is always a pleasant surprise. Even so, I decided to call it a day 1 run after lunch.
With only 4 cm of snow reported overnight, it was amazing how deep it was in places. Even the groomed runs had a few cms on top, which I love. I would guess another 5 cm or so fell during the day. Tonight and tomorrow’s forecast is for minimal snow, however a big dump is expected on Monday ( around 25 cm+ ). That appears to be the last of the powder, as sunshine and colder temperatures are expected after that.
Snow base is 236 cm with 78 cm in the last week.
