Sunny skies and great groomer skiing

January 18th, 2008 · No Comments

Well Whistler sure is getting some sunshine now. Days are perfect bluebird. The snow, for most part is really good. Off-piste has become a bit hit and miss though, with the higher temps ( getting up close to zero ) the snow gets a chance to becomeĀ  moist, then overnight when the temps drop, it refreezes. This can make the snow really ‘firm’ and what looks like soft powder is actually like a brick. Still, the groomers are awesome, and I have found the lower mountain seems to have better, more consistent snow.

No new snow, and none in the near future :( Snow base is down to 232 cm.
